Gen. Joe Anderson Joins TRIBAL Advisory BoardREV, a community and relationship building platform, is pleased to announce the addition of retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General Joe Anderson as a strategic advisor to the REV Advisory Board.

Anderson’s role as an advisor will be to help position REV as a resource platform to unite active duty service members and their families, transitioning veterans, and veteran and military support services who will benefit from REV’s mission to provide hope, help and purpose to individuals and communities.

Today’s active duty and veterans face challenges and concerns to include health and well-being, education, transition, post-service employment and family support. At the same time, Services are facing modernization challenges spanning from fostering cultures of innovation to talent management to building resilience within the force.

Anderson brings over 38 years of global leadership experience through his distinguished career in the U.S. Army, culminating as Deputy Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of the Army. As its Chief Operating Officer, Anderson was responsible for operations, training, leadership development, education policy, mobilization and staff preparedness for the entire U.S. Army. Other highlights of his career include Commanding General of XVIII Airborne Corps and Commander, International Security Assistance Force Joint Command, Deputy Commanding General of U.S. Forces in Afghanistan, and Commanding General of 4th Infantry Division.

Valued for the core competencies of many C-suite members, Anderson has extensive experience and expertise in driving results, managing complexity, building teams and networks, situational adaptability and global perspective.

In his role with REV, Anderson hopes to bring greater awareness of REV’s team-building benefits to service members and their families. The military and veteran community is closely bound together through shared experiences and strong sets of values and mission.  Despite this, they still face many challenges that are more effectively overcome through resilience, empathy, supportive relationships, and other human-centric leadership approaches. Professionally and personally, I recognize that the work REV is doing will transform how organizations and individuals find a sense of purpose and meaning. It’s about connection and community. Most importantly, I understand how committed REV is to improving the lives of our service members and veterans. I’m more than willing to help them in any way in order to complement the tremendous talent within the company.”

Lieutenant General Anderson received his commission in the Infantry Branch from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1981. He holds a Masters Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University and National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
